I'm Jennifer Beckel. I'm married to my best friend and the love of my life, John, and we've had ten years of figuring out this life together. We're stay-at-home-and-go-somewhere parents to four kids: Beckett (9), Brooks (8), Baylor (6), and Britton (3).

I was born outside Toronto and I'm from Tampa. I found my love for travel when I traveled for work. I realized there's a whole world out there — so many experiences, so many ways a day can look — and I didn't want to wait until the kids were “old enough” to share it.

We traveled without kids. Once we had them, it felt important to keep going. We wanted them to know there's a whole world out there, with so many different cultures, and to not be intimidated by travel. We want them to embrace it.

People often think we're a little crazy for traveling with four young kids — and honestly, sometimes we wonder if they're right. Traveling with little ones can feel intimidating at first, but once you break it down, it becomes one of the most fun and rewarding things you can share as a family.

Because they may not remember every toy, every slide, or every day spent at home… but they will remember standing at Niagara Falls for the first time, exploring a new city, or the feeling of discovering somewhere new together.

The best memories aren't always the easiest ones to make. Sometimes, they're the ones that take you a little farther from home.
